Our Evolution Story
We Were Seekers
Long before we became studio owners, we were seekers.
As teachers, travelers, and lovers of movement, our paths carried us across states, countries, cultures, and countless life experiences. Though we didn't know it at the time, our journeys were quietly intersecting long before Evolution Pilates & Flow ever existed. We both spent formative years living in California at the same time, each immersed in our own exploration of movement and what it means to feel strong and vital in our bodies.
We are, at heart, gypsies.
We share a deep love of movement in all its forms—from Pilates and fitness to cultural dance traditions that span continents. Through our travels and experiences, we discovered a profound truth: while the forms may change, movement has always been humanity's way of connecting—to ourselves, to one another, and to something greater.
Like so many of our clients, our own lives have been a continual evolution.
And that journey ultimately brought us here.
Why Evolution
Pilates became our shared language. Wellness became our purpose.
At Evolution Pilates & Flow, we honor the authentic principles established by Joseph Pilates—concentration, control, center, precision, breath, and flow. These timeless principles are the foundation of every class we teach and continue to inspire the way we move.
Yet we also understand that movement is only one part of the story.
Life evolves.
Bodies evolve.
Knowledge evolves.
Healing evolves.
We evolve.
While we remain deeply rooted in the traditions of Pilates, we also embrace the growing body of knowledge surrounding movement science, fascia, recovery, nervous system regulation, and whole-person wellness. We believe that honoring tradition and embracing innovation are not opposing ideas. They are partners in a lifelong practice of health.
Our classes are thoughtfully designed to care for the body as a connected, intelligent system—not simply a collection of muscles.
Every class begins with a mindful warm-up that incorporates myofascial release, helping to awaken the body, improve mobility, hydrate the fascial system, and prepare you for more intentional movement. As your practice comes to a close, we guide you into our signature Heart-Centered CNS Reset™—a restorative experience unique to Evolution Pilates & Flow. Through intentional breathing, gentle mindfulness, and guided relaxation, this closing ritual is designed to help regulate the central nervous system, calm the stress response, release accumulated tension, and gently transition from effort into ease.
Strength is not measured solely by how much we can do. It is reflected in our ability to recover, regulate, adapt, and reconnect with ourselves.
What We Created
We created Evolution Pilates & Flow because we want to curate a different kind of studio.
A place where community matters more than competition.
A place where there is no pretense.
A place where every body is welcome.
A place where acceptance, joy, curiosity, and authentic connection are valued as deeply as strength and technique.
We wanted to create a space where people feel safe enough to evolve, supported enough to grow, and inspired enough to discover what their bodies are capable of.
Whether you are stepping onto a reformer for the first time or returning to a lifelong practice, we believe movement should feel like coming home to yourself.
Every body has a story.
Every body evolves.
This is our evolution story.

At Evolution Pilates & Flow, we honor the authentic principles of Joseph Pilates while recognizing that movement and people evolve.
Our approach blends classical Pilates foundations with modern movement science to create classes that are intelligent, effective, and accessible.
More than anything, we’re building a community where every client feels seen, supported, and encouraged. Through thoughtful instruction, individualized attention, and anatomical cueing, we help you move with greater strength, confidence, and ease.
Every class begins with a mindful warm-up that includes myofascial release and concludes with our signature Heart-Centered CNS Reset—a restorative experience that combines mindful breathing and guided relaxation to help regulate the nervous system, release tension, and transition from effort into ease, leaving you centered and refreshed.
Whether your goal is to reduce pain, improve athletic performance, increase longevity, or simply enjoy moving your body again, we’re here to support your evolution.
-
Mat Pilates uses your own body weight and props to develop strength, stability, balance, and body awareness.
Reformer Pilates uses spring resistance to both support and challenge movement.
Both forms remain committed to the core principles of Pilates, which is…well, your core.
Whenever possible, we encourage clients to begin with Mat Pilates. Developing awareness of alignment and movement patterns on the mat often creates an even stronger foundation for reformer work.
-
Consistency matters more than intensity.
Most clients experience noticeable improvements by attending 2–4 classes each week, though your ideal schedule depends on your goals, lifestyle, and experience.
-
Not at all.
Joseph Pilates created his method for both men and women, and today Pilates benefits people of every age, fitness level, and movement background.
-
In many cases, yes.
Pilates is frequently used to improve posture, restore functional movement, increase core strength, and reduce pain. Did you know that Joseph Pilates rigged many hospital beds with springs to help rehabilitate WWI-injured soldiers?
Please let your instructor know about any injuries, surgeries, pregnancies, or medical conditions before class so we can safely modify exercises to meet your needs.
-
Absolutely.
Please contact us before booking so we can recommend the class or private session that best supports your stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery.
-
We’re always happy to help.
